Kane X-ray now offers with every new system purchase their own “Service4Life” warranty – promising to take care of all emergency and repair needs for the full useful lifespan of the equipment. Kane president/CEO, Jake Thompson explains, “We asked our clients what really makes the difference – why do they choose Kane X-ray? In almost every case, it came down to service. We have always promised 1 hour response time and on site service within 24 hours. No one else will make that promise – so in today’s competitive market, we pushed to take our commitment several big steps further.”
Thompson points out that an important reason he was able to make this bold promise was that Kane has been careful to partner with the right manufacturers in the first place. According to Jake, “We can offer Service4Life with manufacturers that have a track record of proven reliability, superior accuracy and who are committed to constant updates and innovation on the software side.”
Kane X-ray’s “Service4Life” program essentially extends the typical one year labor warranty to the entire useful lifespan of the equipment – often as much as 15 years. Software upgrades routine parts replacement or calibration is still handled separately, but everything else is covered.
“It’s been well received as we discuss new systems with our clients,” says Kane sales director Dave Kulick. “When doctors really start to think about it, uptime is everything. If that equipment goes down, it costs them time and money. Our lightning fast response time, combined with this lifespan warranty, essentially tells doctors, if they choose Kane, X-ray equipment is one less thing they have to worry about! Some practices, in fact, have been blindsided by hidden costs of digital that can be a real “Gotcha” several years into ownership of a big new system that was supposed to solve all their problems. Kane X-ray’s “Service4Life” program is designed to avoid just such unpleasant surprises.
