Kane Helps Clients Comply with New MD X-ray Regulation

Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Department of Radiological Health passed COMAR Supplement 17 which went into effect June 15, 2009.  The paragraph below contains pertinent information regarding this supplement as well as a link to the entire change:

(d) Machine Maintenance
(1) A registrant shall maintain each radiation machine in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance specifications.
(2) A registrant shall maintain documentation, in the form of logs, service tickets, or work orders, that the machine manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule has been met. http://www.mde.state.md.us/Programs/AirPrograms/Radiological_Health/Regulations/
